My Process

My design process is iterative, user-centric, and highly-collaborative, mirroring the principles of design thinking. This hands-on approach allows me to quickly test and gather feedback, engaging with users every step of the way.

I always begin by listening. Empathizing with users and understanding their needs builds the foundation needed to define the problem clearly. Then, I generate a range of creative solutions to the defined problem. Finally, armed with insights from usability testing, I refine and develop the most promising prototype into a fully-fledged design.

Throughout, I prioritize user feedback and data-driven insights to ensure that the end result meets needs effectively and creates a meaningful impact.

My Values

  • User Experience is about more than just designing experiences for users; it is about understanding users, listening to users, and putting their needs first. The quality of our work will depend on how well we can empathize with our end user. After all, product design starts and ends with them.

  • User feedback is the key indicator of a good user experience. It gives us an opportunity to deconstruct, assess weaknesses, and reconstruct. Feedback from our users serves as that constant reminder of who the designs are intended for and provides endless opportunities for growth and improvement.

  • Simplicity is a powerful approach to design because it leads to clear results and straightforward experiences. Instead of delivering cluttered, feature-heavy products, designs should be lean and free from unnecessary distractions. Less is more if less does more.

  • ‘Form follows function’ is a 19th century architecture principle that implies a products shape should primarily relate to its purpose. While this is admittedly true, form and visual appeal decide whether a product will stand out among similarly-functioning competitors. Humans love things that work and are purposeful and that look good and evoke emotion. You cannot have form without function.
